Runabout is a pop style piece playable by first year bands.  All the notes and rhythms are well within the grasp of first year players.  All instruments get plenty of opportunities to play melodic material, as different sections are featured in turn.

The piece also provides a lot of reinforcement of the dotted quarter note rhythm.

A drum set part is included, but the piece also works effectively with a percussion section.
