Long Weekend is a pop style piece at the Grade 2 level.  All instruments get a chance to play an important melodic role, and the percussion have a featured section.

The piece requires a good drum set player, but the part is fully notated and should be well within the abilities of players with a year of two of experience.

Articulations are well marked to assist players in developing the correct style for this type of music.

Ranges are very reasonable, and should present no problems for players in their second year and beyond.
