Early One Morning is a wonderful traditional tune that will present an opportunity to work on phrasing and style.

The clarinets play the opening statement of the melody, in a range that lies beautifully on their instruments.  

Later, after a key change from B flat to E flat, the melody is played by the lower instruments, first by themselves, and then with a flute countermelody.
