Big Island is a rock tune that is intended to be simple enough to use as a first experience for your beginning jazz band.  All instruments get a turn at the melody.

The rhythm section parts do not require a lot of experience, and are a fun way to learn to play together as a unit.

All instruments have the same solo page, which matches the solos on the recording. Students can also try improvising using a simple dorian scale.
